SlideShow + Video + Flash Media Server

Hi,

I'm considering purchase of the Slideshow component, but need to know if images and video can be mixed in a single slideshow and if the video can be streamed from a Flash Media Server?

Hi Joseph,

Images and videos can be mixed in a single slideshow but RTMP streaming is not available. The feature is on the TO-DO list and will be available in the near feature. May I ask how soon would you need it?

Hi David,

I'm shooting a wedding in April and I'm planning an online picturebook that mixes both images and video. I've signed up with an ISP for the streams (basic package for development purposes only).

I'm also planning to do the same with my sports related picturebooks (www.sportsmoments.ca).

So at the moment, the whole thing is in development and deployment, hopefully, 1st half of this year.

Well, I think the update will be released by the end of this month and you''ll be able to see then if it fits your needs, if it's not to late.

PS: what this component is missing is the Ken Burns Effect.

Ken Burns Effect will also be available in a future release. Don't know exactly when but probably after the RTMP is ready, the Ken Burns Effect will be the next feature I'll work on. You can email me when you want to know the progress status of these features.

The RTMP streaming is available (http://flashotaku.com/components/slideshow/changelog/). You will need to download the latest version and re-install the component.
